When I finished my inpatient stay at Hollywood Pavilion WIIT, I felt like I needed more before I could go home. I had been there two weeks and it had helped so much that I was afraid to lose it. WIIT helped me find a women's half-way house. I stayed there and attended the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for another three weeks. It was great. By the time I left I knew I wasn't crazy and I knew I could recover.
Also, when I entered WIIT, I gave written permission for them to contact my therapist. We had worked so hard together and I wanted her to know what I was doing. They sent her a letter which told her about their philosophy and methods. They also told her about my inpatient workbook, written assignments, and aftercare workbook. When I got home I shared a lot of stuff with my therapist. It was really helpful.
