Seminar Content
This workshop focuses on the path a person takes to survive a trauma or abuse (psychological, physical, emotional, verbal, spiritual, or confinement). The theory and principles of Incorporation Therapy will be discussed through the stages of the unfolding process for surviving, from Acute Dissociation to Dissociative Identity Disorder formerly known as MPD. In addition, with topics affecting survivors – wholeness, effects of trauma on Self, the act of losing Self, movement of Self as a reaction to trauma or abuse, abuser values, and dancing with symptoms.

The second part of the seminar will focus on teaching participants the Rapid Reduction Technique. Rapid Reduction Technique is a brief (5 minutes) technique that empowers and teaches a survivor to take back what they had lost. The concept, advantages, and steps for this technique will be presented. Participants will be able to learn how to perform the RRT, experience its healing properties and view demonstrations.

Separated by the Light - Seminar Objectives:
As a result of attendance at this presentation, participants will be able to:
  1. Articulate the 6 stages of the unfolding process.
  2. Describe the process for psychological trauma recovery from the theoretical viewpoint and principles of Incorporation Therapy.
  3. Describe the steps and benefits of Rapid Reduction Technique (RRT) to survivors of trauma and abuse.
About the Presenter
William B. Tollefson, Ph.D., received his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1984. Dr Bill Tollefson is an Ericksonian trained Board Certified Hypnotherapist, and a Certified Addictions Counselor. Dr. Bill was certified as a Reality Therapist in 1978. He was trained by and published with Dr. William Glasser. Dr Bill Tollefson, a well-known expert in the treatment of psychological trauma and abuse, has dedicated his efforts, heart and soul to helping survivors. He is the President of Inner Values Incorporated and the developer, founder and Director of The Women’s Institute for Incorporation Therapy (WIIT), a specialized 10 bed inpatient treatment center that specializes in the treatment of abused and traumatized women. The Women’s Institute for Incorporation Therapy (WIIT) is located at the Hollywood Pavilion in Hollywood, Florida. Dr. Bill Tollefson has traveled around the country lecturing and training professionals in his theories and treatment methods for PTSD, Dissociative Disorders and Trauma.
